Thermodynamic Steam Traps

Thermodynamic traps are typically used for mains drainage and tracing applications.

Thermostatic Steam Traps

Thermostatic traps are typically used on non critical tracing applications, or, applications where condensate can be sub-cooled before being discharged, so reducing energy costs and emissions.

Mechanical Steam Traps

Mechanical traps are higher capacity traps, which remove condensate as it forms, making them ideal for process applications, such as re-boilers and heat exchangers.

The TD120 is a high pressure thermodynamic steam trap with integral strainer. It is specifically designed for superheated mains drainage applications up to 250 bar g.

TD62M

The TD62LM and TD62M are maintainable high pressure thermodynamic steam traps with integral strainer and a replaceable seat to ease maintenance. They have been specifically designed for mains drainage applications up to 62 bar g.

HP Range of bimetallic traps

HP range of steam traps

The HP45, HP80, HP100, HP150, & HP210 are a range of bimetallic steam traps designed for draining high pressure and high temperature steam lines. The HP45 is manufactured from carbon steel, with the remaining versions manufactured using alloy steel. They come in ½” to 1” sizes and a range of connections including, screwed, socket weld, butt weld and flanged.

The HP range can be maintained in line and have maximum operating pressures from 45 barg to 210 barg dependent on the model used.

ABL Bimetallic traps

The ABL range of bimetallic steam traps are made from forged (ASTM) steel and are designed for high capacity constant pressure process applications. They come in 1 ½” and 2” screwed, socket weld, and flanged connections with a maximum operating pressure of 40 barg. They have a built in strainer, a check valve, and have an external device for adjusting the condensate discharge temperature.

SP80 / SP100 range of bimetallic traps

The SP80 and SP100 are large capacity pilot operated bimetallic steam traps manufactured in (ASTM) cast steel. They have a built in strainer screen and external device to adjust the condensate discharge temperature. These traps are specifically designed for high capacity process applications where pressures and loads are relatively stable.

The SP80 and SP100 are available in 3” and 4” sizes respectively with socket weld, butt weld, or flanged connections. They have a maximum operating pressure of 21 barg.

SMC32

Bimetallic

The SMC32 is a carbon steel maintainable bimetallic steam trap with integral strainer. It comes with a range of connections including socket weld and flanged versions. Main applications will be for non-critical tracing or applications where condensate may be sub-cooled, so reducing energy losses and emissions.

BPC32

Balanced Pressure

The BPC32 is a carbon steel maintainable balanced pressure steam trap with integral strainer. It comes with a range of connections including socket weld and flanged versions. Mechanical Steam Traps

FTS14

The FTS14 is an (ASTM) austenitic stainless steel ball float steam trap with integral automatic air vent. It comes in ½”, ¾” and 1” sizes, a range of connections including socket weld, flanged, screwed, and can be used on pressures up to 14 Barg.

The FTS14 is ideal for light process loads on applications where condensate loads are fluctuating or where instant removal of condensate is required.

FT54

The FT54 is a carbon steel ball float steam trap with integral automatic air venting facility, which can be used on pressures up to 32 barg. It comes in a range of sizes from DN15 to DN50 and is supplied with integrally flanged connections. The FT54 is designed so that it can be maintained without disturbing the pipework.

It is aimed at process applications where condensate is instantly removed, once formed, so maximising process efficiency.

SK & SL Inverted Bucket Traps

The SK & SL series of inverted bucket steam traps are manufactured using carbon steel and alloy steel respectively. They come in a range of sizes from DN15 to DN80 with either flanged or socket weld connections.

They are designed for high pressure and temperature applications with a maximum operating pressure of 70 barg.

SCA range of inverted bucket traps

The SCA series of inverted bucket steam traps are manufactured in (ASTM) carbon steel with in line screwed, flanged, or socket weld connections. They come in ½”, to 1” sizes, are fully maintainable, and fitted with an integral strainer.

The SCA range is aimed at moderate condensate loads with a maximum operating pressure of 41 barg.

SIB30, SIB30H and SIB45 Inverted Bucket Steam Trap

SIB30

The SIB30 and SIB30H are all stainless steel sealed inverted bucket steam traps for pressures up to 30 bar, available in sizes DN15 - DN20 with flanged or socket weld connections (screwed connection also available).

The SIB45 is available in sizes DN20 and DN25 for pressures up to 45 bar g.

FT44 and FT46 Float traps

The FT44 is a carbon steel bodied float trap with integrally flanged end connections which can be maintained without disturbing the pipework. It comes in a range of sizes from DN15 to DN100 and can be used on applications up to 32 bar g.

The FT44 is aimed at process applications where condensate is instantly removed once formed maximising process efficiency.

The FT46 is a stainless steel version of the FT44. It comes in a range of sizes from DN15 to DN50 and can be used on applications up to 25.5 bar g.

FT450 Float Trap

FTC80 Float Trap

The FTC80 is a medium capacity float trap suitable for process applications up to 80 barg where condensate is immediately removed as it forms, maximising process efficiency. It is constructed using dual certified carbon steel and is available in screwed, butt weld and flanged connections.

Quick Fit Compact Steam Trap Solutions

UFT32

The UFT32 is a an austenitic stainless steel and maintenance free sealed ball float steam trap with integral automatic air venting facility, designed to be used with quick fit PC pipe connectors. It is designed to operate with differential steam pressures up to 32 bar.

The UFT32 is ideal for light process loads on applications where condensate loads are fluctuating or where instant removal of condensate is required.

PC Pipe Connectors

UTD

The PC range of pipe connectors are used in conjunction with our “quick fit” steam traps. The 2-bolt design allows for rapid replacement of steam traps and allows the traps to be installed in any plane, due to the swivel connector design.

Pipe connectors come in ½”, ¾” and 1” sizes with BSP, NPT and socket weld end connections, and are manufactured in ASTM stainless steel. Depending on the model, they can be used on pressures up to 42 barg.

Integral piston valves can be provided to temporarily isolate the steam trap and a bypass valve can be used to maintain a live steam system.

UTD30 and UTD52

The UTD30 and UTD52 series of thermodynamic steam traps are designed to be used with Quick Fit Pipe connectors, using just two bolts for quick and easy replacement. These are manufactured in (ASTM) stainless steel with options including low and higher capacity versions, anti air-binding discs and integral strainer.

UIB30

The UIB30 and UIB30H are sealed (ASTM) stainless steel inverted bucket steam traps, designed to be used with Quick Fit Pipe connectors. UIB30 is designed for higher capacity applications and can be used up to 30 bar g.

PBX

The PBX series of bimetallic steam traps are manufactured in 316L stainless steel. The connector block is available in 316L stainless steel or carbon steel to ASTM and comes in a range of connections including socket weld and flanged. The PBX series is aimed at tracing applications and mains drainage and can be used up to 30bar g.

USM21

The USM21 is a pre-set maintenance free sealed bimetallic trap manufactured in ASTM stainless steel. It is designed for pressures up to 21 Barg and applications such as steam tracing and mains drainage. It is designed to be used with quick-fit pipe connectors.

 

Manifolds

MSC Manifolds - ASTM

MSC Manifolds - ASTM

Spirax Sarco supply a range of forged carbon steel compact manifolds with integral piston type stop valves for steam distribution and condensate collection duty. Rated to ANSI class 300 they are available with 4, 8 or 12 connections and can be supplied fitted with steam traps for quick installation projects, at extra cost. A DIN version is available with 8 connections - see product literature for details.

Tracer line and drain connections are available in sizes DN15, DN20 and DN25. The steam main / condensate return connection is DN40.
