Operates using the Spring Loaded Variable Area principle:- As flowrate increases, a profiled cone is deflected against a precision spring which varies the orifice area. The resultant differential pressure across the cone and orifice is measured using a Multivariable Transmitter or DP Transmitter to obtain the flowrate.
